The more I crochet and use different yarns, I learn more about what I like to make specifically.
The phrase, “the more you do, the more you learn,” is really hitting me right now, expect I would think of it as “the more variety I crochet and crochet with, the more I learn what I prefer”.
Of course I can recommend different types of yarn for you to use but you may not like the same yarns I like to use! I like yarns that don’t split much and aren’t “fuzzy”.
My favorite yarns currently are breathe deep and Yarntopia by yarn bee. Breathe deep is warm soft yarn. It reminds me of a warm soft but not fuzzy sweater. Yarntopia is a good universal yarn. It’s shiny, soft and works up smoothly which is why I like it so much.
If you have things you want to make but aren’t sure if it’s worst the risk, just do it! The worst that will happen is you’ll learn from the experience and do better. I have several projects at once and I learn something each time so I can make it better next time.
You are your best teacher. You make mistakes and learn from them, or at least I hope you do!
If you take anything from this post, I hope it’s that you should start that project you’re unsure of and just give it a try. You got this!
With care,
Alyssa
