This has been a whirlwind of a week for me. I started the week off creating graphic designs for my bonfire page and that took way longer than expected.
I have always wanted to create designs for loungewear and finally found a way where I can. Originally, I thought it would be years before I could do this because I was going to make my apparel by hand. As in, buy t-shirts, sweatshirts, crewnecks, and anything else that I thought would sell. I’d then put my designs on these items. I knew I’d never be able to make as many as I’d like to until I looked into bonfire. I had purchased several items from bonfire in the past but never knew I could make and sell my own items through it. I was so excited when I found out I could!
I won’t make much, if I make anything, but that’s not why I created the page. I created my designs for others. I see so many people create their own designs and spread their own message that I wanted to spread my own. Sometimes I think some of the designs I see are silly because I’m such a big believer in meaning behind things while also looking pleasing.
There are some topics that are personal to talk about so I wanted to create designs were I could capture what a person may be feeling in a subtle way but remind them to stay positive. I have had my own mental journey and know how difficult it can be to go through something by yourself because you feel like no one else understands you. Or maybe, you aren’t comfortable talking about it to see if people understand. So far I’ve only really shared cute, fun designs. Nothing with too deep of a meaning yet because I’m taking extra time to get those designs right BUT I have MANY made… I just want them to truly display the right meaning.

Aside from all this graphic designing, I just completed my Beachy Tote pattern to be tested two days ago!! Go on my instagram if you’re interested! ANYWAY.. that was a bit hectic because getting the pattern right so every time I follow it, it’s exact, was a huge challenge for me. I’ve never made a pattern like this before but I’m so proud of myself. Who would’ve known, one of my simplest designs would be a challenge to write a pattern for! After finally getting that finished and off my chest, I now have to deal with finals. They’ve been in the back of my head for days now and I have felt a little uneasy about them. When this week is over, some fun things will happen…
I want to make more patterns for some things I’ve made or am working on designing! I also am planning on working on items for the craft fair I’m participating at this fall. This summer will be a busy one but very worth it!
I hope you all are enjoying some of the nice weather that’s been going on recently and are looking forward to summer as much as I am!
With care,
Alyssa
