“Your energy is currency”

This quote is the inspiration behind The Soulful Now. The energies around us are so important especially when we’re trying to figure out which ones we want to feel and embody. A little back story, I used to have many mental battles growing up all through high school and college. One day I snapped out of it when I realized how powerful and unknowing our world is. I started to focus on what I was feeling. I felt the energies or vibes others gave off and determined if their energies were making me feel like a better me or not. This helped me determine who I wanted in my life. After this, I needed to focus on what I was giving off and what I wanted to attract… which is positivity and peace. I’m still working on this but I found a way to center myself and feel exactly what I want to. I made the soulful now to help people who are struggling, to inspire creators, teach a peaceful hobby, and remind people of their importance in this world. If you want any of these things I am offering, keep reading!

Your energy is currency means the things you feel and the way you act is how you are. Whatever energy you give off, positive or negative, is what energy you are in that moment. Obviously your energy changes often but consistency is key. When I create my crochet projects, or live life in general, I make sure to center my emotions and feel as calm/positive as possible. This isn’t always easy to do but I’ll tell you what always helps me.

In the moment take a step back and figure out what you are currently feeling. Ask yourself if that’s what you want to feel. Is it? If not then take a deep breath. Breathe out whatever you don’t want to feel and inhale what you do! Think of this as a mindset. It helps you achieve the feelings you want to. Easier said than done right? Practice makes improvement. SO strive to achieve improvement.. not perfection. Try this sometime and message me if it helped you like it did me. The way you live your life is a mindset. Don’t forget that!

What is The Soulful Now?

This is a place where I create content and art that is from my soul. I put all my effort and care into what I create. I want to help people in general where I may have had struggles (but learned from the struggle). I want to share my discoveries and tips which is what I am doing through this blog page. This page is more than just crochet. Although it is crochet centered, I want this space to be more than that. I want it to be a place anyone can come and take something away from it. This could be inspiration, just liking how my page makes you feel, or maybe you connect with the content. The Soulful Now is blossoming into something beautiful, and with time it will connect with many different audiences.
